Our cushion and throws are made with special care. We use local wool from nomads called Gaddis who travel around our village from summer to fall. They call the wool "desi oon," and it's a mix of different local breeds known as Gaddi breeds.
Our women do all the hard work of cleaning and sorting the wool. After that, we take the fibers to Kullu for carding. Then, using a special tool called a takhli, we hand-spin the wool at home to give it a personal touch.
We care about nature, so we gather materials for dyeing from the orchards and fields around our villages. We dye the yarns with local plants found in the mountains during different seasons. The result is a beautiful collection of naturally colored yarns that we knit or weave into our products. Each piece carries the traditions and skills of our community, bringing you something special and warm.
