Molly grew up in the West Country of England and spent most of her childhood making dens, climbing trees and drawing - a lot.

She went on to study Illustration at Falmouth University and later moved to London, where she currently works as a freelance illustrator and textiles repairer - from her studio in Brixton.

Molly’s illustrative work looks at negative space, with a considered colour palette and a delicate approach. She is drawn to capture the beautifully ordinary moments of life; work, home, nature, various beasts and everyday objects; with a tendency to draw directly from life.

She is inspired by nature; light and deep skies; busy workers, block colour, long-legged dogs; fields of crops; people sitting; people reclining; she loves linen; Indian embroidery and Japanese woodblocks. She is also mainly devoted to the colour pink in her work - and all of its many variant shades.

At, crow, we collaborate with artists from across the globe. She has made beautiful illustrations for us. You can check her work at www.mollymartin.org
